Made by Israeli startup Sirin Labs, Solarin is arguably the world's most expensive smartphone. According to the company, Solarin offers "the most advanced privacy technology, currently unavailable outside the agency world." Solarin can be activated via a physical security switch located at its back.

In terms of specifications, the smartphone comes with a 5.5 inch IPS LCD display of 1440x2560 pixel resolution. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, it has a 23.8MP rear camera.

BlackBerry DTEK50
Canadian smartphone maker BlackBerry calls its recently launched DTEK50 as the 'world's most secure Android smartphone.' The DTEK50 comes with features such as periodic application tracking, which automatically monitors the OS and apps. The feature also lets you know when your privacy could be at risk and what actions you can take to strengthen it. Apart from this, the DTEK50 has an interesting ‘Password keeper’ app. It enables you to store all your important passwords in one place. This information is entirely encrypted and is protected by a single password, which only you can access.

For those concerned about specifications, the smartphone comes with 5.2-inch Full HD scratch-resistant display of 1080x1920 pixel resolution. It packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor and sports a 13MP autofocus rear camera.

The updates and patches come directly from Silent Circle, with no carrier delays or waiting periods.

Boeing Black
Boeing Black is the result of a collaboration between aerospace and defence giant Boeing and smartphone maker BlackBerry. Capable of encrypting calls, this Android-based smartphone is aimed at government agencies and other types of businesses where data security is crucial. The smartphone comes with a self-destruct feature. This ensures that any attempt to break open the casing of the device triggers the auto-deletion of the data and software on it, thus rendering it inoperable.

Made out of Liquidmorphium, an amorphous alloy of zirconium, copper, aluminium, nickel and silver, the Turing Phone is 'unbreakable' according to its manufacturer. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Turing’s own security-focused UI on top for end-to-end encryption.

In terms of the specifications, the Turing Phone sports a 5.5-inch display and is powered by a 2.5GHz Krait processor. A 3,000mAh battery is also included in the spec sheet.
